Who We Are

Plains Gas Solutions is a subsidiary of Plains All American Pipeline (see link at bottom left) and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Plains Gas Solutions is the 100% owner and operator of four plants: the Patterson Plant in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, the Grand Chenier Plant in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, the Basile Plant in Acadia Parish, Louisiana and the North Beach Facility in Conecuh County, Alabama.  We are also in the designing phase for a fifth plant in Escambia County, Alabama as well as for an expansion of our North Beach Facility.

Plains Gas Solutions is not a gas processor, we are a resource manager.  For our customers, the “resource” is YOUR net income.  The “SERVICE” we provide is OPTIMIZING YOUR net income, EVERY DAY!  We offer a truly unique Daily Resource Management Service (“DRMS”) that tracks changes in gas/NGL margins and adjusts recoveries between three different recovery modes each day for each Customer at each meter, to optimize YOUR net income.  On days when margins are negative, we provide you with a dewpoint control service (minimal recoveries) to maximize residue sales and minimize PTR costs.  On days when margins are positive, we process for deep recoveries and manage PTR costs daily.  On days when ethane margins are negative, but propane plus margins are positive, we reject ethane and maximize propane plus recoveries.

Gas and NGL prices change daily.  If you do not track them, you cannot adjust.  If you do not adjust, you lose money.  Our DRMS and recovery flexibility allow us to capture margins when they are positive and avoid losses when they are negative – ON A DAILY BASIS.

You no longer have to settle for once a month process elections that strand opportunities to cut losses or increase profits as the process margins change.  You no longer have to enable the Processor to over recover NGL’s to maximize THEIR bottom line.
